DUO Issue IV Launch Party

DUO Magazine proudly celebrated the launch of our new issue at Britto Central Gallery on Lincoln Road on Miami Beach. Surrounded by the beautiful artwork of the Brazilian artist Romero Britto our guests sipped wine and Saaga Vodka and enjoyed wonderful appetizers from Maya Tapas & Grill. Listening to the fabulous music of jazz duet Deborah Paiva & Ken Burkhart, the “Topping on the Cake” of the evening was devouring the delicious cupcakes provided by Two Girls and a Cupcake. It was truly a night to remember!

Imagine this: the sun beats down, music plays somewhere in the distance, insects buzz, the air is heavy and sweet. And there, under a guava tree, sits a boy. A boy that will one day become the man, the artist, Romero Britto, one of Miami’s most famous residents. But on this day, none of that matters. This day, like so many others before and after, he’s just a boy, sitting under a guava tree, drawing.
